Together with friends we were visiting in Queenstown, we left for a long weekend in Glenochy, following the most amazing lakeside road north with snow on the peaks, on such a hot day it was just magic, leading to the tinny village at the north end of the lake Wakatipu. We spent time with friends, hanging with all the kids, swimming, paddle boarding and visiting the very sweet Glenochy animal experience farm -.Isla has such an affiliation with animals- well I think we all do really, but we don’t always get the chance to get so close, right up our street, with such breathtaking scenery in every direction.
Even the tinny village main street of Glenochy has a dramatic, wild, and very picturesque feel about it, surrounded by giant mountains, we had to visit the trading post a couple of times for coffee while we were there.
