LOLA’S COOKING BLOG
Hi, I’m Lola, welcome to my Cooking Blog.
When I was little I loved playing with play-do making shapes of meals and watching mum in the kitchen now as I’ve got older I have been able to help out. I also like being arty and creative so combining different flavors I end up with artwork on a plate. I’m also aware that although some food may look good it’s not always good for you. I have participated in kiwi kids can cook Northland competition at Wiamati north when my dish won getting me through to the finals for all NZ. Although I didn’t win the finals which were in Auckland it’s inspired me, giving me the confidence to share with others the joy and fun of healthy cooking. I hope you enjoy some of my healthy cooking ideas as we travel.
Thanks for reading,.

Cinnamon biscuits for Mum
CINNAMON BISCUITS This was a little something Lola made me for my Birthday. As I'm typing I ask her what she did - she's tells me she randomly made it up ! Plain flour, Sugar, 2 egg, Cinnamon, Butter ( which I don't actually buy any more but Lola did some shopping herself- kind of secretly for my Birthday ! ), and very little brown sugar - they were actually hardly sweet ! - so I can truly praise her for that.

See Lola's basic ingredients list if you feel like giving it a try. Method - Start with some preparation and chop what's needed. Then softening the onions and [...]
Lola and Rio make a surprise Christmas eve dinner for us all.
I thought this Christmas spread that Lola and her friend Rio put together would be a good place to start Lola's blogging. Although Lola's made lots and lots of yummy things for us and our friends, this is nice and festive. As you might have read in one of our last blogs we shared Christmas with friends in Kakanui. As stunning as it is, the weathers very changeable, so we came up with the unique idea to use the greenhouse for dinner to escape the [...]
Lola wins the Northland, Junior Kiwi Kids can cook competition
Our eldest daughter Lola has always had a love for cooking, be it daughter and Mum's time at home, or BBQs outside with family and friends or lessons at school. Ever since Lola was the little girl she's always enjoyed getting messy in the kitchen, and now in more recent years realizes that she has a flair for cooking, and very much enjoys being creative with food. Now much older, she understands that we need good, healthy ingredients which is even more crucial when living [...]
